What is your Motivation???

besides the money and bragging rights of course. Last year my workout motivation was going to Colorado and getting to go on the hike with Joel, Barb, Dylan and Bailey. It was awesome to be able to complete that goal and can't wait to go again this year - maybe with a few more people??

So if you don't mind sharing - What is motivating you to work your butt off???

I have two - 1. I want to make my goal weight
2. We want to re-take our wedding pictures for our 5th year anniversary so I want to look amazing in the dress.

Love
Katie

  1. Dennis wanted to lose 20# before Casey's wedding in Tucson on Mar. 14.

I got a skirt outfit for the wedding, but told Dennis I would get a cuter one if I lost 50 lbs! He said I better get with it...

I think my motivation is to get through all of the mountain climbers and star jumps (I think that's what they're called-I can't do them...) in my body conditioning class-I don't get off of the ground very high right now...

  2. My motivation is that I want to be a healthier, happier person. I would like to run a 5K by next summer.

Joel says his motivation is that he's starting to feel like he's in his mid-late 30's. He is, but he doesn't like feeling like it. For him, it's not the working out that kicks his butt. He enjoys that. It's the food addiction he's having trouble with. If we could start a campaign to burn down all McD's, it would help. He would also like to get to 12000 feet this summer!

  3. Larry's motivation for losing weight is that he wants to get healthy. (lower cholesteral and blood pressure) He wants to see his grandkids graduate from high school or see Seth get married...which ever comes first! LOL

I want to be healthier and feel better about myself. McDonalds is not my problem, but Taco Johns calls my name way too often!

  5. I would like to be able to wear clothes I have in my closet from college, fit in my car easier, have more energy, weigh less so my shoes don't wear out so fast, be able to tie my shoes easier, you all get the point!

  8. I don't have any mojo yet either. I feel stuck - and I need to find a way to get in some exercise. I'd like to get down to my playing weight when I was at McPherson. I, too, have a food addiction. Sometimes, I just want to eat...

  9. It has come to my attention that some people here believe Joel has made some terroristic threats towards a certain fast-food restaurant... Maybe a better way to take care of the problem would be to place an invisibility cloak over the McD's and the Sonic he drives by on his way to work!!! :) That way, he doesn't end up in Gitmo. Wait, that's closing in a year so who knows where he would end up!
